NFL Rumors: Teams Reaching Out To Colts About Running Back

The Indianapolis Colts have been one of the AFC's biggest disappointments thus far in 2022, and while they aren't going to trade their big pieces like Shaquille Leonard, Michael Pittman Jr. or Jonathan Taylor, they have some solid pieces that could be traded to keep the future of this team alive going forward, for the moment they can finally find the Quarterback to save this franchise.

Reportedly however, they are receiving calls on some of those secondary players, and one that is drawing particular interest in running back Nyheim Hines, who is a veteran in the NFL, but still has plenty of miles left on his legs, and while he won't be coveted as a starter for other teams, he could certainly fill a role for a team that misses out on players like Kareem Hunt.

Schefter doesn't elaborate on which teams have reached out to them, but with Hunt, Cam Akers and other running backs potentially available, Hines is another interesting name to keep an eye on as the trade deadline draws ever near, with under 24 hours to go.
