New York Jets Wide Receiver To Miss Thursday Night Football

The New York Jets have been a big surprise thus far in 2022, and despite all of the injuries they've suffered, they're still competing for a playoff spot with three weeks in the season to go, but just days ahead of a Thursday Night Football clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars, they've received some good and bad injury news.

Quinnen Williams is likely to play, but unfortunately, third year wide receiver Denzel Mims is likely going to miss the crucial contest after suffering a concussion in the Week 15 loss to the Detroit Lions. Mims hasn't broken out in the way many around the organization would have hoped, but with the injuries to Corey Davis, his role has increased in 2022, so with Davis potentially out and Mims as well, the Jets wide receiver group will need to step up in a big way.

Despite the increased play time, Mims has racked up just 11 catches for 186 yards on the season, and despite all of the potential he's shown, he hasn't put it together yet, and his future beyond this season is murky, so the hope is that he can return for the teams final two games and finally start producing the way many around the franchise wanted.
