Las Vegas Raiders QB Won't Extend Trigger Date Clause In Contract
One of the biggest storylines this off-season is expected to be the movement between Quarterbacks, with one of the biggest names that will be on the move will be Las Vegas Raiders veteran Derek Carr, whether it be via trade or release.
If he isn't released by February 15th, a massive contract will kick in, meaning the Raiders will owe him plenty more money, and when asked whether he would extend that date to help the team find a trade partner, Carr responding with a resounding no.
Given the names that are expected to be on the move, releasing him would be the worst case scenario for Las Vegas, and with just 12 days to go until that date, it seems highly unlikely that they'll be able to get a haul back for him, and will likely take a late round pick instead of releasing him.Raiders’ QB Derek Carr said he has no intention of extending the Feb. 15 trigger date on his contract to give the team additional time to resolve his situation, via @HolderStephen:https://t.co/mD8fEbQ37C
