Commanders Sign LB Barton To a 1-Year Deal

The Washington Commanders are reportedly signing former Seahawks linebacker Cody Barton to a one-year full guaranteed deal, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Barton, who was selected as a third-rounder by the Seahawks in 2019, just completed his four-year rookie contract with Seattle in 2022-23 and will now reportedly join Washington's defensive core.

The 26-year-old out of Utah appeared in 17 games for his former club last year and recorded 136 tackles, two interceptions, and 2.0 sacks.
