New York Giants QB's First Contract Request Revealed

Much has been made of the recent contract negotiations between the New York Giants and their young Quarterback Daniel Jones, with many around the league scoffing at the idea that he reportedly asked for $45M annually on his next long-term contract.

Now, in the latest update to this contract saga, it has been revealed that Jones officially asked for $48M annually on his contract, which the Giants understandably refused, as they are looking to extend him in the $35M to $39M mark.

With the franchise tag available and plenty of other Quarterbacks around the league, there's a chance that a long-term deal doesn't get done soon, and with the way things are going, it seems very unlikely that the two sides will be able to come to a deal in the near future.
