Pittsburgh Steelers Sign Veteran Guard

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed Isaac Seumalo to a three-year,  $24 million contract.

Seumalo was garnering plenty of attention on the free-agent market, so he was expected to find a new home rather quickly. Now, that has officially come to fruition, as he has earned this solid contract with the Steelers.

This officially marks the end of Seumalo's seven-year tenure with the NFL's other Pennsylvania team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Overall, he had a solid stint with the Eagles, as he was a key starter for them and appeared in 81 total games. With that, he also has a Super Bowl ring on his resume, so he will give the Steelers more leadership moving forward.

Overall, this is not a massive move, but it has the potential to strengthen the Steelers' roster as they aim to be a playoff team in 2023. Alas, we will need to wait and see how Seumalo performs for his new team from here.
