Execs Believe Haason Reddick Trade Is "Likely"; 3 Potential Trade Destinations

The standoff between Haason Reddick and the New York Jets is rapidly pushing both sides toward an inevitable trade as tensions mount.

Reddick, who was acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles in the offseason, has yet to play or practice for the Jets, holding out over a contract dispute that has cost him over $5 million in fines and missed bonuses.

Jets GM Joe Douglas has taken a firm stance, refusing to renegotiate until Reddick reports to the team, but the star pass rusher remains firm in his demands.

As the Jets continue to struggle without their top pass rusher, the pressure is growing on both sides to find a resolution, and a trade is becoming the most plausible outcome.

Several teams have emerged as potential suitors for Reddick, with the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, and Baltimore Ravens leading the pack.

The Lions, building a formidable defense around rising star Aidan Hutchinson, could see Reddick as a key piece to accelerate their Super Bowl aspirations.

The Chiefs, in pursuit of a historic third consecutive championship, are seeking to bolster their pass rush, while the Ravens, looking to replace Jadeveon Clowney, view Reddick as a crucial addition to their defensive front.

All three teams are serious contenders, and Reddick’s proven track record as an elite pass rusher with 50.5 sacks in the past four seasons makes him a highly coveted asset.

With the Jets in a win-now mode and Reddick’s continued absence putting their defense under strain, a trade may soon become the best option for both parties.

While the Jets are reluctant to part with their offseason acquisition, the increasing tension and lack of progress in contract negotiations make it more likely that they will move Reddick before the trade deadline.
