Raiders Sign Defensive Tackle

The Las Vegas Raiders have signed defensive tackle Andrew Billings.

Billings appeared in six games with the Cleveland Browns this past season. He didn't start in any of those contests, however. Overall, he was a depth option with Cleveland and was waived by the team during the middle of the campaign. He then signed a deal to be on the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad, but it did not materialize to another contract.

The Raiders have all four of their interior DTs with expiring contracts, so it makes sense that they have decided to give Billings a shot. From 2017 to 2019, he was utilized primarily as a starter for the Cincinnati Bengals, so he has a decent chunk of experience. Thus, he will be aiming to rebound as a member of the Raiders from here.

Overall, this isn't a major signing, but it has the potential to be a smart move by the Raiders. Let's see how Billings performs from here.
