Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans Delayed

The Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans will have to wait a little bit longer before taking the field today. Their Week 16 showdown has been delayed one hour due to power issues in the Nashville area stemming from frigid winter weather. The region has been enduring rolling blackouts and rotating, intermittent power outages this week as plummeting temperatures stretch the Tennessee Valley Authority's power grid to the breaking point.

The Titans and Texans are still expected to face off later today in what is a surprisingly important game for Tennessee. At 7-7, they currently lead the AFC South, but the loss of starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill suddenly puts them in danger of surrendering their top spot in the standings. They face the 7-8 Jacksonville Jaguars in their final game of the regular season in a matchup that could decide the division.

Rookie quarterback Malik Willis is expected to make the third start of his career this afternoon. The third-round pick has struggled in his limited action this year, netting 139 passing yards on 44 dropbacks while throwing one interception and fumbling twice.
