NFL Rumors: 2 Favorites to Sign DeAndre Hopkins

Star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is still looking for his new home after being released by the Arizona Cardinals. Several teams have been linked to him, but now two are currently being viewed as the frontrunners - the New England Patriots and Cleveland Browns.

The Patriots have been linked to Hopkins for quite some time, and it is understandable. After all, they need some serious help at the wide receiver position, and Hopkins would provide them with just that. If New England signed him, he would immediately become one of their top offensive weapons for the 2023 campaign.

The Browns, on the other hand, are another team who are looking to strengthen their offense before the start of the year. Furthermore, Hopkins of course has played with QB DeShaun Watson before, so that could heighten the Browns' interest in bringing him in.

Alas, we will now need to wait and see if either of these two teams successfully sign him from here. On paper, he is a clear fit for both of them, but time will tell how this sweepstakes will end.
