NFL Rumors: Jets Setting High Asking Prices In Trade Talks

New York Jets Head Coach Aaron Glenn reacts on the sidelines during 2025 game.

The New York Jets may be 0-7, but this is not a clearance event.

Multiple insiders say the Jets high asking prices have cooled early talks, indicating that general manager Darren Mougey is listening without giving away anything for cheap.

Teams have called on Breece Hall and Jermaine Johnson, yet the consistent message back is simple: pay up or move on.

Jets high asking prices and what they mean
Executives describe New York as open for business but firm on value. SNY reports the Jets are not staging a fire sale, and FOX Sports notes some clubs view the prices as steep.

Johnson has even made his feelings known about staying, while league chatter pegs a “reasonable” offer around a Day 2 or Day 3 pick depending on health and upside. Hall draws the most buzz given his contract status, but suitors are learning quickly that the Jets high asking prices apply to him too.

Who could still move if the price is met
Interest remains in Hall, Johnson and Michael Carter II, with clubs also checking on Quincy Williams and Will McDonald IV.

Quinnen Williams is the long shot, but a monster offer always changes the math. If losses pile up before the deadline, the stance could soften a touch, yet the plan is to stockpile picks without dumping core pieces for pennies.
