DeAndre Hopkins Reveals Who He Wants To Sign With This Offseason

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins reacts after catch during 2025 game.

DeAndre Hopkins did not exactly play it coy.

The veteran wideout made it clear he would welcome a move to the Minnesota Vikings, openly saying he’d be ready to reunite with Kyler Murray if Minnesota comes calling.

For a team that already has Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison locked into the top two spots, it is not hard to see why Hopkins views the Vikings as a smart landing spot.

DeAndre Hopkins wants to sign with the Vikings

Speaking to TMZ, Hopkins said Murray is “like family” and added that if the Vikings need him, “they know I’ll be there.”

Hopkins and Murray were productive together with the Arizona Cardinals from 2020 through 2022, and Hopkins’ 2020 season alone was still vintage stuff, with 115 catches for 1,407 yards and six touchdowns.

Minnesota also has a real opening for a third receiver after Jalen Nailor signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, so there is at least a legit potential need for this connection beyond the headline value.

Vikings could view DeAndre Hopkins as veteran WR3

Hopkins turns 34 in June, and he is no longer the guy who could soak up 10 targets a game and make a secondary miserable for four quarters.

Last season with the Baltimore Ravens, he finished with 22 catches for 330 yards and two touchdowns, which shows pretty clearly where he is in his career arc.

But that does not necessarily mean he is cooked. He might just have to accept a role change.

On the Vikings, he would not need to be the offense. He would just need to be reliable in the red zone, useful on possession downs, and experienced enough to punish defenses that overcommit to Jefferson and Addison.

That is a much more realistic ask, and honestly, probably the only version of this that works.

Minnesota still has to decide whether it actually wants to make the move.

But from his side, the message could not be much clearer. Hopkins wants the Vikings. He wants Murray. And for a team that lost Nailor and does not exactly have proven depth behind its top two receivers, this could be something that happens this offseason.
