NFL Rumors: New England Linked to Deebo Samuel Blockbuster Deal

The New England Patriots were recently linked to a mega-deal with the San Francisco 49ers for wide receiver Deebo Samuel. One problem, sounds like the trade rumor was started by free-agent wide out Odell Beckham Jr.

OBJ started the buzz over the weekend as the NFL draft was in it's second day. He tweeted the Pats acquired Samuel and let's just say it was a solid troll job by one of the biggest personalities in football.

While it's expected Samuel gets moved in the coming days, the Pats are one of the least likely destinations. The 26-year-old receiver requested a trade out of San Fran after contract talks have stalled and the 49ers won't get off their wallets. The All-Pro receiver is entering the final season of his rookie contract and is due a hefty raise. So far the 49ers have rejected trade offers to the New York Jets and Detroit Lions.
