Los Angeles Rams Place Two Players on Injured Reserve

The Los Angeles Rams will be short two key players for at least four weeks. According to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic, the team placed offensive lineman Tremayne Anchrum and cornerback Troy Hill on injured reserve. Hill rejoined the Rams this year after spending the 2021 season with the Cleveland Browns. He has consistently provided effective starting play opposite Jalen Ramsey in Los Angeles, tallying three interceptions in 2020 and another one against the Buffalo Bills earlier this year. Meanwhile, Anchrum was expected to fill in along the interior of the offensive line following the injury to center Brian Allen. His absence will stretch the Rams' depth even further.

Hill initially came to the Rams as a free agent in 2016 and started sporadically for the team until his breakout 2020 season, where he earned a 74.2 grade from Pro Football Focus and led the league in interceptions returned for touchdowns. He injured his groin in the team's Week 2 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Anchrum was drafted 250th overall by the Rams in 2020 and has appeared in 14 games for the team. Sunday was his first start. He played three snaps on offense before suffering a fractured fibula.
