Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback Misses Practice

The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off one of their most promising wins in years, thanks largely to the exceptional play of their young quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Unfortunately for the team, their 2021 first-overall pick didn't escape unscathed. Lawrence missed Wednesday's practice with a toe injury.
Lawrence also missed two practices last week with the toe injury, but managed to play arguably the game of his career on Sunday. He netted a personal best 368 yards on his 42 pass attempts in a 36-22 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 14, throwing three touchdowns and adding another on the ground.

Lawrence presently appears unlikely to miss Week 15's showdown with the Dallas Cowboys, which is good news for the Jaguars. With Sunday's win over the Titans, they maintain an outside shot at winning the AFC South. They'll need the Titans to pick up at least one more loss before hosting their division rival in a regular season finale rematch.

Lawrence initially joined the Jaguars as the first-overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft. Considered by some as one of the greatest quarterback prospects of all time, he has shown promise this year after an underwhelming rookie season. His 246.3 passing yards per game and 95.4 passer rating this year are solid, but it remains to be seen whether the organization will enable him to grow into the league's next superstar.
