Minnesota Vikings Announce They've Interviewed Assistant Head Coach For DC

The Minnesota Vikings finally looked like they had a team ready to make a deep run through the NFC playoffs in 2022, and while the offence continued to produce at a fantastic rate, they dropped off a little in the playoffs, and as for the defence, they showed up very inconsistently throughout the season.

This led to the firing of their Defensive Coordinator, and they are now on the hunt for a replacement, and while most of the candidates are from outside the organization, they certainly have some talent within it too, as they've officially interviewed Assistant Head Coach Mike Pettine for the role.

The former Browns Head Coach has been a coach in the NFL since way back in 2002, and while it may not be the flashy, popular hire, it makes sense as he is familiar with the organization and the players, and while it's likely not the move they make, it would be solid regardless.
