NFL Rumors: One Team Keeping Close Eye On Dalvin Cook As Trade Talk Heats Up

The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly continuing to consider trade options for their star running back, Dalvin Cook, due to salary cap concerns, and a trade by Draft Day is becoming a very real possibility.

The Miami Dolphins are reportedly keeping a close eye on the situation.

The Dolphins have expressed interest in acquiring Cook, who has been a consistent producer on the field, rushing for over 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons and earning Pro Bowl honors four times.

Despite Cook's current contract with the Vikings for three more years, trade offers have reportedly been made. Cook's performance last season, with 1,173 rushing yards, eight touchdowns, and 39 receptions for 295 yards and two more touchdowns in 17 games, has caught the attention of multiple NFL teams, including the Dolphins.

If the Vikings do decide to part ways with Cook, they will likely receive multiple offers from other teams, but the Dolphins are known for their aggressive pursuit of top talent and are the biggest serious contender for Cook's services.

The addition of Cook would be a significant upgrade to the Dolphins' running game and provide a missing piece to their offense.

It remains to be seen if the Vikings will ultimately trade Cook, but if they do, the Dolphins are the main team to keep an eye on in the coming days. Photo Credit: Matt Krohn-USA TODAY Sports
