Cincinnati Bengals Dealt Brutal Injury Blow Ahead Of Thursday Night Game
The Cincinnati Bengals have been dealt a tough blow ahead of Thursday Night Football, with multiple reports framing the Bengals’ Pro Bowl edge rusher Trey Hendrickson won't play against the Pittsburgh Steelers after a hip/back issue in Week 6.
He was listed as questionable, but the short Sunday-to-Thursday turnaround worked against a return despite his push to play.
Cincinnati loses its most consistent pass-rush threat at a time when the offense is already navigating injuries, forcing heavier snaps for Myles Murphy, Cameron Sample, and rookie Shemar Stewart.
With Trey Hendrickson not expected to play tonight vs. the #Steelers, the #Bengals elevated DE Isaiah Foskey. In addition, they activated G Lucas Patrick from IR.

Could an absence fuel trade chatter?
Hendrickson signed a one-year, $29 million pact before the season, yet long-term uncertainty keeps the rumor mill warm. He’s produced at an elite clip for years, posting double-digit sacks in four of the last five seasons and pacing the league with 17.5 a year ago.
Trey Hendrickson (back) is out tonight for Bengals vs. Steelers.

According to NFL insider Tony Pauline: "The Philadelphia Eagles are another team expected to make a bid for Hendrickson. They are one of the worst pass-rushing teams in the league."
