NFC Team Hosting Justin Tucker For Workout

The New Orleans Saints are turning to one of the most decorated kickers in NFL history as they search for answers at a shaky position.

Multiple reports say the team is hosting former Baltimore Ravens star Justin Tucker for a workout, his first NFL look since serving a 10-game suspension under the league’s personal conduct policy.

Incumbent kicker Blake Grupe just missed two of three field goal attempts in a 24–10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, dropping him to 18-for-26 on the year and giving him the most missed field goals in the league. With the Saints sitting at 2–9 and their kicking game crumbling, the front office is clearly ready to at least explore a change.

Saints weigh upside vs. backlash in Justin Tucker look

On the field, Tucker's resume is unmatched. Over 13 seasons with Baltimore, the 36-year-old became a five-time first-team All-Pro, seven-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl champion, long regarded as one of the greatest kickers of all time.

Yet his final two seasons trended the wrong way, including a career-worst 73.3 percent field goal rate in 2024. Off the field, Tucker was released by the Ravens in May after an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct involving massage therapists in the Baltimore area.

Sixteen women have accused him of inappropriate behavior in incidents reportedly spanning 2012 to 2016. Tucker has denied the accusations and was not charged criminally or sued, but he accepted the league’s 10-game suspension to resolve the case and be eligible to return.

Head coach Kellen Moore called Grupe’s latest misses “frustrating” and said the team needs to review the process before making any moves, but the tryout list tells its own story.
