NFL Rumors: Titans & Eagles Linked To Blockbuster Trade

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown catches ball during 2026 game.

The A.J. Brown trade never really left Tennessee, it just got quieter until now.

With the Tennessee Titans moving on from Treylon Burks and the original deal looking even uglier in hindsight, the idea of a reunion is back in the air around the league, even if it still feels like a long shot.

Burks never came close to replacing Brown’s production, and Tennessee cutting bait only reopens the same old question: if there’s any way to fix the mistake, do the Titans at least explore it?

Titans A.J. Brown reunion talk gets louder

Brown has been exactly what the Titans hoped Burks would become, only on a different team.

Since landing with the Philadelphia Eagles, he’s stacked elite numbers and accolades, including 4,031 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns over three seasons, plus multiple Pro Bowl nods and a Super Bowl ring.

And when you zoom in on 2025 specifically, even his “down year” was still 1,003 yards, which says a lot about the standard he’s set.

What a Titans A.J. Brown trade could realistically look like

Here’s the catch for Tennessee: the Philadelphia Eagles have every reason to play hardball.

Their GM has already gone public about how hard it is to move a “great player,” and Brown is signed through 2029.

That doesn’t mean a trade is impossible, but it usually means the price has to feel uncomfortable, or the situation has to get louder than it is right now.

For the Titans, there's the emotional pull of “bringing him home” versus the reality that you’d be paying premium assets for a premium player you never should’ve let go in the first place.
