NFL Rumors: Dolphins Quarterback Questionable for Thursday Night Football

The Miami Dolphins won't be able to celebrate their shocking 21-19 win over the Buffalo Bills for very long. The team visits the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football this week, and according to head coach Mike McDaniel, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's availability is in doubt. Tagovailoa endured what has been described as a back injury following a first-half collision in Week 3's pivotal AFC East clash. The quarterback stumbled to his feet and appeared to have difficulty standing, forcing Teddy Bridgewater to briefly serve as a replacement. Despite speculation that the young quarterback had suffered a concussion, Tagovailoa returned in the second half and eventually secured the win for Miami

Tagovailoa has led the Dolphins to some dizzying heights so far this season, beginning first with a dominant win over the New England Patriots, then a dramatic comeback victory over the Baltimore Ravens, and culminating with this week's close win over the powerhouse Bills. Should he be unavailable, the Dolphins will be forced to start Teddy Bridgewater. One of the league's more proven backups, Bridgewater sports a 33-30 record as a starter and was most recently a first-stringer for the Denver Broncos in 2021.
