Patriots WR Ja’Lynn Polk to Miss 2025 Season After Shoulder Surgery
Polk, the Patriots’ second-round pick in 2024, struggled during his rookie season, catching just 12 passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games with seven starts. He also missed much of offseason training this year due to a previous shoulder procedure in March. The preseason opener was his first game since recovering from that surgery, and he played just 15 snaps before re-injuring the shoulder.

With Polk sidelined, the Patriots’ wide receiver depth chart now leans on Stefon Diggs, DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, Kyle Williams, Kendrick Bourne, Efton Chism III, Javon Baker, John Jiles, Jeremiah Webb, and Phil Lutz.
Polk was a second-round pick (37th overall) by the Patriots in the 2024 NFL Draft. In his final college season in 2023, the 23-year-old recorded 69 receptions, 1,159 yards, and nine touchdowns with the Washington Huskies.
