NFL Rumors: 2 Teams Hosting Former Top Prospect Wide Receiver
The Denver Broncos and Washington Commanders are taking a look at a once-promising wideout.
According to multiple reports, both teams will host former Tennessee Titans first-round pick Treylon Burks on a visit this week. Burks, 25, was waived earlier this month after suffering multiple injuries, including a broken collarbone in training camp.
Despite a career limited by setbacks, the 6-foot-2, 225-pound receiver still offers intriguing size and downfield ability.

Broncos seeking more offensive firepower
Denver’s passing game has been underwhelming through the first half of the season, averaging just over 206 yards per game. Rookie quarterback Bo Nix has shown flashes but struggled mightily in the second half of Sunday’s win over the New York Jets.
With only Courtland Sutton averaging more than 42 receiving yards per game, Sean Payton’s offense has lacked consistent playmakers. Burks’ visit reportedly “went well,” and while no signing is imminent, the former Razorback could end up on Denver’s practice squad if both sides see a fit.

Commanders exploring receiver reinforcements
Meanwhile, Washington’s receiver depth has been tested by injuries to Terry McLaurin, Noah Brown, and Deebo Samuel. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has relied on less-established targets like Chris Moore and Jaylin Lane in recent weeks.
With the Commanders’ offense needing more versatility and size outside, Burks’ skill set could be an appealing low-risk addition. If healthy, he provides the physicality and deep-threat potential both Denver and Washington currently lack.
