NFL Rumors: Stefon Diggs Names Team He Wants To Sign With
On Tuesday, a Massachusetts jury found Diggs not guilty of all charges in a case involving his former personal chef, clearing the legal cloud that had hung over his offseason.
Days later, speaking to The Team 980-AM in Washington at a charity event for his Diggs Deep Foundation, Diggs was asked directly whether he had talked to any Washington Commanders players about the possibility of joining the team.
"Yeah, a little bit," he said.
My guess is teams were waiting for the legalities to play out before they signed Stefon Diggs.

I’m curious to see where he ends up.
"I'm familiar with the city and I'm familiar with the people. So we're gonna see down the pipe over these next couple months what looks good, what makes sense. I definitely want to shed some light on them and might go check them out for a little bit. It's love. It's hometown. So it makes sense."
Commanders defensive end Charles Omenihu had already indicated the locker room's interest, posting "burgundy and gold" in response to a social media message from Diggs about wanting to play in 2026.
Diggs responded with eyeball emojis.
Why the Fit Makes Sense
Diggs is a Montgomery County, Maryland native who played high school football at Good Counsel and college football at Maryland.
He has spent his entire NFL career playing away from home (in Minnesota, Buffalo, Houston, and New England), and at 32 years old, a return to the DMV carries weight beyond football.
The production is still there.
He caught 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns for the AFC champion Patriots last season, proving that two years removed from a torn ACL he can still function as a legitimate starting receiver.
The Commanders need exactly that. Terry McLaurin is a reliable WR1, but the team lacks a proven second option.
Could we see a potential Stefon Diggs reunion in New England?

“Look, I’m not putting it as a zero chance that Diggs returns to the Patriots next season. I think it could happen…But it's now kind of crowded, there's a lot of mouths to feed in the room, and ultimately I just… pic.twitter.com/1GqqtUCwTM
Washington has over $50 million in cap space, which means the financial path to making this happen is very plausible.
The Brandon Aiyuk situation remains unresolved with the 49ers, and Washington appears content to wait for a post-June 1 release rather than give San Francisco a pick.
